Munich is one of Germany’s biggest tech hubs, and it shows: there’s no shortage of deep tech events to choose from. But if you work in embedded, finding your people and good events beyond your job can feel surprisingly hard. As a startup navigating this world ourselves, we know that struggle firsthand and wish we’d had a list like this one when we first started building.
Luckily, more and more exciting conferences and networking events bring together embedded developers and leading experts to meet like-minded people. These are also excellent opportunities to learn about trends and best practices.
Below, we’ve gathered the best Munich events focused on networking within the embedded community. We also present the four top Munich meetup groups embedded engineers should definitely join. These four communities focus on sharing knowledge and showcasing own projects, as well as bringing the whole Munich embedded ecosystem together.
# Top Embedded Conferences in Munich
# Embedded Testing
- When: 23–24 February 2027
- Where: Holiday Inn München, Unterhaching
- Language: German
- Tickets: Regular tickets for the 2026 edition were €990; 2027 pricing has not been announced yet.
- Useful Links: Website, Tickets, Program
- Social links: LinkedIn
Embedded Testing is the only German conference that focuses entirely on software testing for embedded systems. Most embedded conferences treat testing as a side topic, and most testing conferences barely touch embedded-specific challenges. Embedded Testing fills this gap. Every year, software testers, developers, and team leads from medical technology, automotive, aerospace, and defense meet in Unterhaching to dig into test automation, MISRA compliance, hardware-in-the-loop testing, safety testing, and the latest in unit and integration testing.
If you specialise in testing safety-critical embedded software, this is the conference for you in the DACH region.
# Munich Embedded
- When: October 27, 2026, 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Where: WERK1, Munich
- Language: English
- Tickets: €60 (individual), €70 (companies), €25 reduced (students etc.)
- Useful Links: Website, Tickets, Newsletter
- Social links: LinkedIn, GitHub, YouTube, Matrix
Munich Embedded is the region’s evening conference for testing, security, and reliability in embedded systems. Organized by Systemscape GmbH, it brings together around 100 embedded developers and executives for an afternoon of focused talks and short lightning talks on testing strategies, security concepts, and development tools, followed by dinner and networking.
The event is kept small so it’s easy to talk with other people without feeling overwhelmed by the crowd. The 2026 edition features speakers from Analog Devices, Texas Instruments, Modelwise, and Corpuls covering topics from hardware-in-the-loop simulation to why medical device software is so hard to get right. At Munich Embedded you can expect real conversations with the people building embedded systems in and around Munich rather than another expo hall.
In between conferences, Munich Embedded runs free quarterly meetups where you can present your own projects to the local embedded community to get feedback and visibility outside the big annual gathering. And if you can’t make every event, their newsletter keeps you posted on embedded news, job openings, and upcoming events from in and around Munich.
# Top Embedded Meetups in Munich
# Hardware Meetup
- When: Recurring, roughly monthly
- Where: Munich
- Language: English
- Tickets: Free
- Useful Links: Luma calendar, hardwaremeetup.com
- Social links: LinkedIn
Munich Hardware Meetup is the local chapter of Hardware Meetup, a global, volunteer-run network that now runs monthly meetups in 50+ cities for people who build physical products.
The Munich edition is hosted by Rostyslav Spoliak, and recent editions have pulled in speakers from Hula Earth; we also had the honor of presenting the hardware challenges we faced building OnMCU. It’s less about polished keynotes and more about short, honest talks from people actually shipping hardware, followed by fruitful networking.
# Munich AIoT Meetup
- When: Roughly every 1–2 months, evenings around 18:30–19:00
- Where: Concept Reply GmbH, Munich
- Language: English
- Tickets: Free
- Useful Links: Meetup page
- Social links: LinkedIn
Munich AIoT Meetup is sponsored and hosted by Concept Reply GmbH. Sessions run hybrid, so you can join remotely if you can’t make it to their Munich space. Recent talks have covered digital twins with Siemens, IoT security in the quantum era with DigiCert, and real-world deployments from NVIDIA and PrismaWerk. The focus here is leaning more toward applied, industrial IoT than pure embedded firmware work.
# Rust Meetup Munich/Augsburg
- When: Rust Munich meets quarterly, Rust Augsburg meets every two months
- Where: Rust Munich rotates through host companies around the city; Rust Augsburg meets at the Stadtbücherei Augsburg
- Language: English
- Tickets: Both free
- Useful Links: Rust Munich, Rust Munich on Meetup, Rust Augsburg, Rust Augsburg GitHub
- Social links: Rust Munich: Discord, YouTube, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, GitHub; Rust Augsburg: Matrix
If Rust is part of your embedded toolchain, Bavaria has you covered at two different scales. Rust Munich has been running since 2015 and has held over 45 events. It’s the bigger of the two groups. Meetups have happened at companies like Google and SAP, mixing embedded-focused talks with hands-on hacking evenings. Rust Augsburg, an hour outside Munich, is a community-run meetup at the local public library, organized by volunteers and open to everyone from curious beginners to production Rustaceans.
# MUC++
- When: Monthly
- Where: Rotates through host companies around Munich
- Language: English
- Tickets: Free
- Useful Links: Meetup page, YouTube (talk recordings)
- Social links: X/Twitter
MUC++ is Munich’s home for modern C++. Each month brings one deep-dive talk on topics like template metaprogramming, concepts, or the next C++ standard, and if you miss a session, recordings are available on their YouTube channel afterward. This is the perfect place for embedded developers who want to sharpen their language skills specifically, rather than embedded-systems talks in general.
We’re happy to see the Munich embedded community growing. New meetups, conferences, and get-togethers keep popping up around the city, and we’re doing our best to keep this list current.
